And here comes the second part of our trip to Latvia, which is based on the activities we did. All together on our short trip, we visited Riga, Jurmala & Sigulda, during these days. And let me assure you – it was full of fun! π
Fun in Riga
On Friday we arrived in Riga pretty late, so that evening we only spent in our hotel – in Pullman Riga Old Town hotel. I was in the gym, working out and my family was in the spa and sauna. (Check out also my previous blog post!)
On Saturday the weather wasn’t very good, so we decided to go to the Alfa shopping center, to visit some shops and also Adventures’ Zone. One store I usually visit, when I am in Riga, is 4F. In our previous showroom, they once held an event on our premises, and that’s when I found the brand for me. They have very comfy activewear and usually with really cool colors also!
We also visited the Adventures’ Zone, because our smallest member of the family insisted, that this is the place to be! Well, of course, she was to only one hanging around there and playing, but still. π Her favorite thing there was rock climbing walls, and luckily they had 7 different lanes, so she decided to try out all of them! She wasn’t disappointed, whether more, she insisted, that we should do this with a family next time. Besides that, there were also trampolines, labyrinths, games, and so much more to discover!

Later that evening we decided to take off some time, and we visited one very nice hookah place, (I am totally in love with hookahs.. π€·πΌββοΈ), called Hookah Place Riga, as one of my friends, Kaspars, suggested it to us. And we were not disappointed! The hookah over there was amazing π€©! And I also was a fan of its’ interior. The place itself was pretty small but the overall vibes & appearance were cozy and chill. We also visited some other places, but I will leave it for now, as I didn’t take any pics, and they were rather simple and nothing special.

JΕ«rmala & Livu Akvaparks
Long story short with JΕ«rmala – we went there in LΔ«vu Akvaparks. BUT again, we did not take any photos in there, so this will be a very short paragraph about it. I have once been in there when I was younger, but I didn’t remember much of it. But we had so much fun with all our family there! π€©π
We were lucky, that the weather was sunny and about 22 degrees, so we also enjoyed the outside pools and slides. And of course, the nicest part of the aquapark was the slides! π There were also slides where 2 people can slide down or even 3. π So of course, we were trying out almost all the slides! ππ» And the most important part is that even I would like to go back there, not even doubting about our little troublemaker! π
Sigulda & Aerodium
So on the last day, we decided to go to Sigulda, before heading back home. Why Sigulda? Because they have the Aerodium wind tunnel over there. As some of you maybe know, then our family has one crazy skydiver. So our feminine side of the family (read me and our daughter), are also keeping up with that, and why not – maybe we will be the whole family of parachuters one day! βπ»π

So for our female part of the family, it was the first time in the wind tunnel. Be aware, that this tunnel also has no roof! π€ And at first, it was a little scary for our girl, but actually it was so much fun! I had two separate flying sessions and Annabel had 3, but as you can imagine, we both wanted to fly more. π But as we arrived there by 17, we didn’t have the chance to get some more sessions.

I really loved that everything over there was so smooth and very thought through. At first, we signed up for the flying and chose how many sessions each of us is going to do. After that, we filled some papers, and then there was a special room with the TV, where we were shown a creative video clip about flying in the wind tunnel. It was very easily understood and even though, that our small family member doesn’t speak English so well yet, she still understood almost everything in the clip.

After the educational video clip, it was time to choose the right sized helmet, goggles, earplugs, and a suit. And then the only thing left to do was to wait for the line to get to us! π€©

So my first impressions about wind tunnel, is that this place is so amazing! I really loved flying in there! Of course, you can’t compare the tunnel experience with tandem jumping, which I did in Florida, at the beginning of the year, but both I loved both experiences. We also had a really good instructor – Δriks Osmanis, who helped us during the flight sessions, so we would hold the right posture, and would at the same time be as chill as possible. π€π»

Your wings already exist. All you have to do is fly.
