Long time, no see! ๐ฑ In my previous post I promised to take the New York trip onto different posts. Mostly because there are so many cool places to write about… And so much will not be written about of course. The posts are probably most valuable to people, who plan to visit New York, and who would like to get some suggestions! ๐ฝ
At the end of August, I had a long weekend in my favorite city in the world – New York City! ๐ฝ
I had such an amazing weekend over there, especially thanks to my sweet-sweet friend Danielle aka my NYC Barbie ๐, who made this weekend so cool and full of fun!
When a place has been your home for almost all of your life, then it is so weird to say that I will have a vacation over there.. ๐ But as we haven’t lived in Estonia for already 8 months (wow, okay, it already seems a long time ๐ค), then it feels to be the right thing to say.. ๐ฅฒ
For us, Estonians, Midsummer is pretty important. It is the longest day of the year & it has been celebrated for a very long time with different traditions. Most common ones are probably that young lovers wander through the forest looking for a lucky fern flower said to bloom only this night. And that if you find the glowworm, you may expect a great fortune! ๐ฎย
This blog post will take me back – again – to Saaremaa (as couple of weeks ago) & to one of my first times staying in hotel in my home town.. ๐ We decided to stay in Johan Spa Hotel, as they have sauna & outdoor swimming pool. And of course they are totally in the centre of Kuressaare and the price was good. โ๐ป
On the quiet evening on 22nd of May, new place called Sonora Cafe opened its’ doors to greet all the friends with a pre-party, before the official opening to everyone. Sonora Cafe is located in the Old-Town of Tallinn, Vana-Viru 6 & locals probably know that place before as Popular Cafe.
Sonora Cafe is a ‘little sister’ to the popular bar in Sauna street – Baila, which is at the moment temporarily closed, as there are still many regulations for the late night party places. ย

As you might think then almost for three months no traveling at all. Nothing. No where. Only bedroom, bathroom, kitchen.. Quarantine routine much, eh. Well, alright of course some strolling around the forests has been made, but that’s kinda all..
BUT at least I managed to finally go to my home island, Saaremaa, last week, to visit my family. Wohoo! ๐ฅณ ๐
