Those, who have read my previous posts, or who are following me on Instagram / Facebook / LinkedIn, see that I have been ‘all about Miami’. And relocating to Miami.
And of course, most of even my good friends, found about that when I already was flying to Miami. Or even – when I already was in Miami… π€
Well, it wasn’t that I didn’t want anyone to know. Everything just was happening so quickly that even until the morning, when I was on the plane, I still wasn’t sure if this was happening for real or not?! About the fact that I will leave behind my home country, only a few people knew. Mainly my best friends (Midrikud you know who u are π β€οΈ), my family, and some of my other closest friends. And that was almost all.
But what? Miami?
Long story short. I had the connections and my husband had the knowledge. Meaning that I basically set him up. π€·πΌββοΈ π€
Short back story – my friend was looking for some workers for his IT company in the US, Florida. And I was using the chance to ask him whether he is in need of iOS developers too (my husband was an iOS team lead in a big company).
So after that everything went so quickly. At the next moment, we were already doing our visas, moving out from our apartment, starting to get ready for the home-schooling of our daughter, and so on…
So YES, I was the one who wanted to move.
And YES, I was the one who wanted to move to the USA – since the first visit to the States couple of years ago.
And as Florida has amazing places for all-year-long skydiving, then my other half was more than excited to relocate. πͺ

How long?
That is a very good question. But who knows. π Basically, it all depends of course on the work. All our family has an E1 visa, for 5-years.

What am I doing here? And our daughter?
At the moment I am still working with my Estonian clients (doing marketing, social media, SEO, content marketing, etc.).
Also step-by-step doing some renovation/construction stuff in our apartment, home-schooling our daughter & then of course all the house chores & food making, and so on, and so on… And then of course trying to make time for our hobbies, family time, and self-development. And some shopping & resting. π€π€

How it will go on?
In March, I started doing my paperwork, so I could also work in the US – #excited! π€©
And the plan is for our pumpkin to start school in the US in August, so very exciting things are ahead of us! π₯°π₯°π₯°
